Words for Sunday from Steve Jobs

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

-- Steve Jobs (1955-2011) in his 2005 commencement address at Stanford

I chose words from that address as well.... I've been trying to get across the impact of his contributions on our lives to my students but feel my words are dwarfed by the colossus that he was.

It is hard to explain to those who were born after the dawn of the personal computer/device how much these machines have changed the way we work and live. I'm still trying to convince my kids we had electricity when I was their age -- they think no computers = stone age! The Stanford commencement speech is very inspiring.
